Beyond The Scoreboard-Lions agree to deal extensions with St. Brown and Sewell worth a combined $200 million.



The Detroit Lions have made significant investments in their future, with a pair of All-Pro players under contract for the next five seasons.



According to a source familiar with the matter, the Lions and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown agreed to a four-year contract extension for more than $120 million, with $77 million in guarantees, and they subsequently reached an agreement with offensive lineman Penei Sewell on a four-year, $112 million deal.



The individual spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the financial terms had not been disclosed.



"Four more years," St. Brown stated in an Instagram post.



Detroit picked St. Brown out of USC in the fourth round in 2021, with the No. 112 overall selection. season of his rookie deal.



He was an All-Pro last season, assisting the Lions in capturing a division title for the first time in three decades and winning two playoff games in the same season for the first time since the 1957 NFL championship. Last season, St. Brown set career highs with 119 catches, 1,515 yards receiving, and 10 touchdowns. In three seasons, he has 315 receptions for 3,588 yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. Detroit general manager Brad Holmes made Sewell the team's first pick in 2021, selecting him seventh overall out of Oregon.



Sewell was named to the All-Pro team last season and has been dependable throughout his three-year career, starting 50 regular-season games and all three postseason games as the Lions advanced to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991.



Detroit will host the NFL draft beginning Thursday night, with the No. 29 overall pick in the first round.
